- Add new buttons. Stop by your local arts & craft store and pick up some cool buttons. It's cheaper then buying a new coat and it'll give you a chance to personalize your old one.
- Switch out the belt. With neon brights being a trend for spring, find a cool neon belt to pair with your neutral colored coat to create instant satisfaction.
- Add some quirkiness. Adding a cool trim to the lapels and collar will add some fun to the traditional look.
- Pop in a brooch. Take a trip to your mother's closet and "borrow" some pins or brooches. I love a brooch with a little bit of sparkle to add some extra shine.
