I was recently invited to attend the Arts, Beats & Eats One Year Anniversary Event thanks to Dougie Newton of
Dark Shades, Bright Lights and my girl Reese. The event is held every first Sunday of the month at the Primo Bacio Restaurante in the Towers at Wyncote in Wyncote, Pa. Arts, Beats & Eats has been the premier networking social mixer for young entrepreneurs in the tri-state area to showcase their businesses and form lasting partnerships. The event is coordinated and hosted by Curran J. Swint (Stylist & Founder of
KingsRuleTogether.com), Shaheed Rucker (Founder of
Changemakers Organization), and Gianni Lee (CEO & founder of
Babylon Cartel) to help empower and support the community.
The atmosphere was fashionably chic with an undertone of cool music, live art and the murmuring of local movers and shakers filled the room with a positive vibe. Vendors of all sorts were there promoting their goods from sparkling baubles to yummy cupcakes. Later on in the evening, spoken word artist were given the chance to incite their thoughts and even though everyone was encouraged to mingle, they also had a Spotlight for entrepreneurs to jump on the mic and tell a little more about themselves and their business. The evening ended with a raffle give-a-way of prizes from all the vendors.

I really enjoyed meeting new ones including fellow bloggers Rebecca of
Faccioquelloche and Reese of
Young, Fierce, R3fined. I think that Arts, Beats & Eats is a very effective event because despite these hard economic times, it's great to have people come together and support one another in a drama free environment. I definitely recommend checking out the next Arts, Beats, & Eats on June 5 and for more information check out any of the links from the three founders.
