Rashad Corey Productions presents Stomp the Runway, a premiere fashion gala against domestic abuse to create awareness in the Philadelphia area. In Philadelphia, "one in every three women are at risk of being battered at least once in their lifetime", noted Rashad Corey. Stomp the Runway was inspired by the death of local published model Vanessa "Ms. Banks" Watson, who was murdered by her boyfriend in February of 2012. The event will also help raise funds for Women Against Abuse, Inc, a non-profit organization in Philadelphia that provides limited shelter services, but since 2008, has been force to decline approximately 7,000 shelter requests.
The gala will be hosted by Kendra G, Fox 29 celebrity and entertainment news reporter and Moshay Loren from 100.3 WRNB. The over 400 guests will experience a runway show featuring Philadelphia's hottest designers including headliner, Autumnlin Kietponglert of Heartless Revival; The Glam Bar by celebrity hair and make-up artist, Kia Sterling and Rodney Jon, Philly Minx, Darci by DiCaprio, and Spa East. Guest will also enjoy a cash bar, delicious hors d'oeuvres, silent auctions and giveaways, live entertainment by DJ Hollywood and much more. I encourage you all to come out and support fashion with a cause. For tickets and other information go to stomptherunway.com.
