I had the privileged of going backstage again with Aveda, which is always a pleasure. One of the looks we were able to experience was from the Charles Youssef Fall/Winter 2016 Presentation at Milk Studios.
The look for this show was inspired by Japanese Street Style. To mimic the serene, yet striking feel of the collection, Aveda Global Creative Director, Antoinette Beenders, created a loose pony with conspicuous elemental features. The look is cleverly called the Zen Pony.
"Full, thick hair is lightly cinched into the fluent Zen Pony," Beenders said. "It's modern and strong, but it has soft, feminine details including shine, texture, and pony placement. It helps to tell the whole story."
