Career Wardrobe will be having their annual Empowering Tea and Fashion Show, Saturday, October 29, from 12-3p.m. to celebrate Career Wardrobe's expansion into the Southeastern Pennsylvania! The event will be held in Delaware County at the Radnor Hotel in Wayne, PA! The event will be emceed by KYW Newsradio's Cherri Gregg for a family-friendly and inspiring afternoon highlighting the work of the Career Wardrobe in assisting women transitioning to work. Keynote speaker Pennsylvania State Representative Leanne Krugger-Braneky will also be in attendances to talk about the importance of community engagement and empowering others.
The fashion show will feature high style from The Wardrobe Boutique: A Resale Boutique Benefiting Career Wardrobe, designers-in-residence from the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator at Macy’s Center City, Louella Boutique, and Lotasi Jewels.
Career Wardrobe is one of the
nation’s largest independent organizations empowering women and men
transitioning to work with professional clothing, job search support, and
professional development. Over its 21-year history, Career Wardrobe has
empowered more than 80,000 individuals struggling with poverty, violence, or
incarceration on their journeys to employment and independence. In 2016, Career
Wardrobe expanded its successful Philadelphia model to the five county area
including Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, and Berks Counties, providing
professional clothing to unemployed Pennsylvanians receiving public assistance.
The Empowering Tea & Fashion Show is
presented in partnership with EY, PECO, Thomas
Edison State University and QVC. Tickets for the event start at $80 ($40
