Photo Pop Philly

Looking for something fun to do this Memorial Day weekend? Philly PR Girl along with Visit Philadelphia have opened Philadelphia's First Interactive Pop-Up Art Exhibit, Photo Pop Philly!  Similar to the popular Refinery 29 Art Installations in New York City, visitors can take advantage of photo ops created by local artists like Amberella, Catron Lee, Nero, and These Pink Lips.

The overall theme is red, white, and blue which is especially fitting since it's opening during Memorial Day Weekend and running until July 8. With the unofficial start of summer kicking off this weekend, it's a great way to enjoy a fun day or night out.

We were invited to the press preview on Tuesday night and had a great time. If you plan on checking it out, here's some things to keep in mind:
1. Bring your camera or phone, of course, along with any phone chargers so you can take as many pictures as you want in the five photo ready rooms.
2. Bring a friend or a selfie stick. Since there is tons of murals, art installations and props, you'll want to share the fun with your family or a group of friends. This way you can take turns posing for the camera. There's also plenty Photo POParazzi to help out if you're riding solo.
3. Parking isn't hard to find. We arrived at the location at 7pm and found parking right in front of the building, which was amazing. At 6:30, the meters start 2 hour parking so there were spaces available, but if you don't want to take the chance, PhotoPopPhilly.com has some suggestions.
4. Eat before you go. There's no food or drink allowed in the exhibit, but you can visit some spots nearby like Porta Philadelphia for a bite to eat or Scoop Deville for a sweet treat!
5. Have fun! This exhibit is the first of its kind to hit Philadelphia, so stop by after work with a crew of co-workers, make it a date night, whatever you do, come and support Philly! It would be great to have it become an annual thing that gets bigger and better every year!
