Philly is starting to open up again and I couldn't be happier! It seemed like forever ago since I've been to a local press event or even seen some of my fellow influencers out and about. And now it's time to wear some of those looks we've been saving in our closet to wear outside and not just in front of our mirrors at home. As always FemmeLuxe has come through with some pieces that go great for different occasions I have on my agenda from dinner with friends to a night out. So just keep reading to see how I styled them and how you can get them yourself.
The next outing I had was a press preview at a dinner spot that just opened in Suburban Square called Lola's Garden. I really love the decor, the indoor/outdoor concept and of course the food and drinks. The service was great and the staff was super friendly. Since I knew there was a chance I would be seated outside, I wanted to dress comfortably and warm because the weather was rainy and chilly during the earlier part of the day. So I grabbed this Sage Check Print Oversized Button Up Pocket Shacket on my way out the door. It's very soft and cozy and perfect for layering over a sleeveless top with a pair of jeans. On their website, they have this oversized shacket in other colors like pink, purple, grey, navy and black. I went for the sage color because it's a great transitional color for going into spring. I could definitely see myself pairing this with a pair of denim cuffed shorts or even leggings.
The following week, I had been invited to a Press Preview for Victoria Roggio Beauty in Old City Philadelphia. I was going for a chic, but street look since it was in the middle of the city. Funny thing the dress that I decided to wear, I wore as a top instead. I've been wanting a satin mini dress for a while, so I took a chance and ordered this Brown Leopard Print Satin Ruched Side Slip Mini Dress, however it was a little too short for me so I had to improvise. Either way I didn't have anything like this in my wardrobe already so it worked out. On the one side of the dress, there is a pull-tie to create a ruched look, so I pulled it all the way and tied it in a bow so it came right above my hips.
I think I got mine in a size 12 or 14, maybe if it was longer it would've fit fine as a dress, but I'm glad I was able to make it work. If you're interested in trying out the dress for yourself there have a few beautiful colors to choose from like rust, black, sage, and gold, which is gorgeous. If anything just go up in size and then maybe you can wear it as a dress and a shirt to give you two options in one.
This last look I wore out to eat at a unique and beautifully decorated spot in Manayunk called Artesano Cafe/Bistro. They have tasty sharable plates and yummy cocktails. You can also find a plant shop and art gallery, so there's a lot to discover. I wasn't sure what the night full agenda would be so I wore this Black Long Sleeve High Neck Jumpsuit. The weather was great this night, so I wasn't too hot wearing long sleeves with my moto jacket. I kept everything black and silver down to my sneakers. I have never worn anything like this before, but I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try it and I loved it. I already have so many different ways I want to dress it up in my head like tying a silk scarf around my waist or with a chain belt or even with the shacket mentioned above. It's a very simple outfit that can be styled in many different ways.
